Bienvenue! Welcome to French II! This course build on the skills of the first-level program. In this course you will use more complex vocabulary, grammar and sentence structures in communicating. The cultural focus of this course is on France, its history and geography.
Content
This course will begin with a thorough review of concepts from French I and continue with the following concepts in Allez, viens!2:
Le voyage La santé
La ville et les endroits Les sentiments
Le repas La fête
Les vacances Le cinéma et la musique
L’école La nature
Le weekend Les régions
By the end of French 2 you will master the present, passe compose, and imparfait of regular and common irregular verbs; the use of articles, adjectives, and adverbs; pronominal verbs and object pronouns.

Objectives
By the end of French II, you will be able to use French to communicate and express your own needs, desires, and opinions. You will also be able to read and comprehend short stories in French. The use of grammatical structures of French will allow you to write French correctly. In addition to the textbook, video, on-line sources and supplementary reading materials will be integrated into the course.
Materials
Please bring the
following with you to each class:
1. Textbook( Allez, viens!)
2. Pen or pencil
3. 3-ring binder divided into sections for vocabulary; grammar; quizzes and tests; handouts.
4. French/English dictionary

8. Homework 25%
Please remember!
9. Arrive on time and prepared to work.( Bring all necessary materials.)
10. Homework is assigned nightly and is considered an extension of the work we do in class
11. Extra Help is always encouraged. I am available Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. This time is set aside for make-up work of missed tests and quizzes due to absences.
12. You are responsible for finding out if you have any missed assignments and completing them in a reasonable time period.( Homework-1day, Quiz/Test-4days)
13. Course Requirements and Syllables may be modified to fit the need of the class.
14. Remember to try as best you can to complete all assignments without the use of any online translators. It is recommended that you utilize a French/English Dictionary to aid you with unfamiliar words and phrases.
