Excessive absences and tardiness will make it difficult to pass this course, as a majority component of this course is participation. When tardiness to class becomes chronic (more than three per quarter), the student will be subjected to disciplinary action.
Grading:
Assessment will be based on numerous factors in this class. Participation, tests, quizzes, and projects/presentations will be major contributors to your grade. Skills tests and physical tests may be used as an assessment tool as well. If a student is absent on the day of a test or project due date, then it must be made up or turned in the next school day. If a project or assignment is not turned in on the due date, then a grade reduction will result based on the length of the lateness.
