Sutton Public Schools does participate in the state's School Choice Program. Parents interested in having their child(ren) enrolled in Sutton schools should write a letter of request to the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Cecilia M. Di Bella. School Choice openings are filled annually the first week in July.
School Committee Policy caps the number of available seats for School Choice students in all grades. As of July 2007 all seats have been filled except for grades 11 and 12.
Parents are free to request School Choice for their children, however, must realize that a School Choice student will have to leave the district in order for there to be a seat available. Three seats are available for incoming kindergarten children for 2008. If there are more than three applicants a lottery is held.
