Nathan Hastings receiving a MASS award

Nathan Hastings, a Senior, was presented with the MASS Award at the December 5th School Committee Meeting.

The MASS Award is given to a Senior who stands out academically, civically, and socially.

One of his teachers notes that "Nate is an invaluable member of any classroom he is in.  He is the most consistent and willing participant - from Shakespeare to Calculus, Nate is constantly putting his best foot forward and helping his classmates along the way".

High School Principal, Ted McCarthy, had the following to say:  "Nathan is an exceptional student and an incredibly positive member of the community.  In addition to his skills in the classroom, he is also a member of the golf and baseball teams, as well as Connections and the National Honor Society.  Nathan is someone who generally makes any group he is a part of better and more positive.  He is exactly the kind of student that we hope to have our younger students aspire to be."
